Description : Antigen standard for acrosin binding protein (ACRBP) is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection.
Source : HEK 293 cells
Species : Human
Components : This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol).
Size : 0.1 mg
Storage Instruction : Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
Applications : ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane.

Ask a question
How is the ACRBP gene expression regulated during spermatogenesis? 10/10/2022

The ACRBP gene expression is regulated by multiple factors during spermatogenesis, including androgens and retinoic acid.

What is the role of the Cys-His repeats in the ACRBP protein? 09/24/2022

The Cys-His repeats in the ACRBP protein are thought to be involved in the binding of acrosin, a protease involved in sperm function.

What is the clinical significance of the ACRBP gene? 09/05/2022

Mutations in the ACRBP gene have been associated with male infertility, and dysregulated expression of the gene has been implicated in several reproductive disorders.

What is the protein structure of the ACRBP protein? 02/10/2020

The ACRBP protein contains several domains, including a signal peptide, a N-terminal proline-rich domain, a central domain with multiple repeats of a Cys-His motif, and a C-terminal domain with a conserved CUB (complement C1r/C1s, Uegf, and bone morphogenetic protein-1) domain.

What is the function of the ACRBP gene product? 02/01/2020

The ACRBP gene product is involved in the regulation of acrosin activity during spermatogenesis.

What post-translational modifications can occur on the ACRBP protein? 08/13/2019

The ACRBP protein can undergo several post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, glycosylation, and proteolytic cleavage.

How is the ACRBP protein transported and localized within the cell? 08/01/2019

The ACRBP protein is transported and localized within the cell by a signal peptide that targets it to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus.

What is the tissue distribution of the ACRBP gene in non-human species? 06/22/2019

The tissue distribution of the ACRBP gene in non-human species varies depending on the species, but it is primarily expressed in the male reproductive system.

What is the role of the CUB domain in the ACRBP protein? 05/19/2018

The CUB domain of the ACRBP protein is thought to be involved in protein-protein interactions with other molecules involved in sperm function.

What is the expression pattern of the ACRBP gene? 04/22/2018

The ACRBP gene is primarily expressed in the testis, specifically in the seminiferous tubules and epididymis.
