Description : | Yeast Rev1 is a member of the Y family DNA polymerases. It possesses the DNA template-dependent dCMP transferase. In yeast cells, Rev1 is required for mutagenesis induced by several types of DNA damaging agents. In vitro, Rev1 is able to insert a C opposite several types of DNA lesions. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionThe REV1 recombinant protein may have a growth-promoting effect in some cases, but may have an inhibitory effect in others. The specific mechanism needs to be further studied.
The expression level of REV1 recombinant protein may be affected by cellular stress, such as DNA damage, but the specific mechanism needs to be further studied.
As a protein related to DNA damage repair, the enzymatic activity of REV1 recombinant protein may provide a potential target for drug development, but a lot of research is still needed to determine its application prospect.
Yes, there may be a correlation between the DNA repair pathway involved in the REV1 recombinant protein and the sensitivity of certain anticancer drugs, which warrants further investigation.
The misintroduction of REV1 recombinant protein during DNA damage repair may lead to genomic variation, but the specific mechanism needs to be further studied.
REV1 recombinant protein has been extensively studied in cell culture (in vitro) and animal models (in vivo).
