Cat.No.: | PE-3390 |
Product Name: | Recombinant THRβ protein |
Product Overview: | Recombinant human THRβ protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_000452.2) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 54.1 kDa. |
Background: | THRβ (Thyroid Hormone Receptor Beta, also known as ERBA2) is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine. It is one of the several receptors for thyroid hormone, and has been shown to mediate the biological activities of thyroid hormone. Knockout studies in mice suggest that the different receptors, while having certain extent of redundancy, may mediate different functions of thyroid hormone. THRβ is a high affinity receptor for thyroid hormones, including triiodothyronine and thyroxine. It can act as a repressor or activator of transcription. |
Applications: | Suitable for use in the study of binding assay, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling |
