Cat.No.:  PE-3615
Product Name:  Recombinant TAF1L (1402-1521) protein
Product Overview:  Recombinant TAF1L (1402-1521) protein that includes amino acids 1402-1521 of human TAF1L protein (accession number NP_722516.1) was expressed in E. coli and contains an N-terminal His-Tag and C-terminal FLAG-Tag with a molecular weight of 20.08 kDa. The purity of the protein is > 92% by SDS-PAGE.
Background:  TAF1 RNA polymerase II, TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, 210 kDa-like (TAF1L), is homologous to TAF1 and contains bromodomains for interaction with other proteins. The bromodomain functions as a ‘reader’ of epigenetic histone marks and regulates chromatin structure and gene expression by linking associated proteins to the recognized acetylated nucleosomal targets. TAF1L is specifically expressed in the testis in male germ cells. It may act as a functional substitute for TAF1 during male meiosis when sex chromosomes are transcriptionally silenced.
Applications:  Suitable for use in binding assays, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling.
