HATs (histone acetyltransferases) and HDACs (histone deacetylases) play a critical role in controlling histone H3 actylation. Lysine 23 at histone H3, along with K9,K14 and K18 are primary acetylated sites of histone H3. Histone H3 (acetyl K23) is tightly involved in cell cycle regulation, cell proliferation and apoptosis. It also correlates with transcription activation.Histone H3 (acetyl K23) Quantification Kit (Colorimetric) is a convenient package of tools that allows the experimenter to measure global acetylation of histone H3K23 quickly and consistently.
