Cat.No.:  PE-0949
Product Name:  Recombinant Human TAF1, GST-tagged
Product Overview:  Recombinant human TAF1 (1032-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.
Description:  TAF1 is a DNA-binding protein complex required for RNA polymerase II-mediated transcription of many, if not all, protein-encoding genes in eukaryotic cells. TAF1 plays a key role in the initiation process, since it binds to the TATA element to form a complex that nucleates the assembly of the other components into a preinitiation complex and that may be stable through multiple rounds of transcription. TAF1 may be targeted to specific chromatin-bound promoters and may play a key role in chromatin recognition (1). TAF1 also serves to link the control of transcription to the cell cycle.
Applications:  Western Blot
Storage:  Store at 4℃ if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at -20℃ or -80℃ for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
