Description: | MIA PaCa-2 nuclear extract was prepared from cell cultures of the undifferentiated human pancreatic cancer MIA PaCa-2 cell line. The MIA PaCa-2 cell line was derived from a tumor of a 65 year old Caucasian male patient with pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Unlike many other human cancer cell lines, these cells are sensitive to the chemotherapeutic agent asparaginase. This cell line is most commonly used in research as a model to study growth and tumorigenicity of pancreatic cancer. |
