Description : |
Receptors that are tyrosine protein kinases include those receptors for platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin, epidermal growth factor (EGF) and certain lymphokines. Receptor tyrosine kinases are cell surface transmembrane proteins responsible for intracellular signal transduction. They are expressed in several cell types and, after activation by growth factor binding, trigger a series of intracellular pathways leading to a wide variety of responses; e.g. differentiation, proliferation, migration and invasion, angiogenesis, survival. Inhibition of PDGFRB (PDGFR1, JTK12, CD140B,Beta platelet-derived growth factor) receptor kinase may be useful in the treatment of several tumors. |

Applications : |
Drug Discovery & Development |
Storage : |
1 year at -70 centigrade. |
Handling Advice : |
Rapidly thaw the vial under cold water and immediately place on ice. Aliquot unused material into prechilled micro-centrifuge tubes and immediately snap-freeze the vials in liquid nitrogen prior to re-storage at -70 centigrade. |
Use/Stability : |
On receipt of material store at -70 centigrade. Unopened reagent is stable for a minimum of 6 months from date of shipment when stored at recommended storage temperature. Avoid repeat freeze/thaw cycles. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge original vial prior to removing the cap. |
