Description : RPTPμ is a receptor protein-tyrosine phosphatase that mediates homotypic cell-cell interactions and plays a role in adipogenic differentiation via modulation of p120 catenin/CTNND1 phosphorylation. Promotes CTNND1 dephosphorylation and prevents its cytoplasmic localization where it inhibits SLC2A4 membrane trafficking. In turn, SLC2A4 is directed to the plasma membrane and performs its glucose transporter function.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : GST
Protein length : 879-1184 aa
Form : 0.93mg/ml of enzyme in 50mM Tris/HCl pH7.5, 300mM NaCl, 0.1mM EGTA, 0.03% Brij-35, 270mM sucrose, 1mM benzamidine, 0.2mM PMSF, 0.1% 2-mercaptoethanol. Frozen solution.
Bio-activity : 32412 U/mg, where one unit of RPTPmu, active activity is defined as the release of 1nmol of phosphate per minute from the phosphorylated substrate 6,8- difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate (DiFMUP) at room temperature.
