Cat. No. : Vegfa-357M
Description : Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a potent proangiogenic cytokine is the key signal used by oxygen-hungry cells to promote growth of blood vessels. It binds to specialized receptors on the surfaces of endothelial cells and directs them to build new vessels. VEGF are crucial regulators of vascular development during embryogenesis (vasculogenesis) and blood-vessel formation in the adult (angiogenesis). Abnormal VEGF function is associated with inflammatory diseases including atherosclerosis, and hyperthyroidism.
Source : Sf21 Insect Cells.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse VEGF is Mr 42 kDa.
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Formulation : The protein was 0.2 μm filtered and lyophilized from PBS.
Purity : >97% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Endotoxin : <0.1 ng per 1 µg as determined by the LAL method.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
