Recombinant Human Glycoprotein 6 (platelet), His-tagged

Cat. No.: GP6-5623H
Product Overview: RecombinantHuman GP6 protein was expressed in Murine myeloma cell line. Gln21-Lys267,with a C-terminal 6-His tag.
Description: GP6 is a63 kDa platelet/megakaryocyte-specific type I transmembrane glycoprotein ofthe immunoglobulin superfamily that is an important collagen receptor andinitiator of platelet activation, aggregation and thrombus generation. GP6 isalso a secondary receptor required for platelet spreading on laminin. Mouse GP6contains a 21 amino acid (aa) signal sequence, a 244 aa extracellular domain (ECD)that has two C-type Ig-like domains followed by a mucin-like, presumablyO-glycosylated Ser-Thr-rich region, a 21 aa transmembrane (TM) domain and a27 aa cytoplasmic tail. Mouse GP6 ECD shares 70%, 85%, 69% and 66% aaidentity with human, rat, equine and canine GP6 ECD, respectively.
Source: Murine myeloma cellline, NS0-derived.
Form: Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence: Gln21 predicted
MolecularWeight: 27.7 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When cross-linked with 10 μg/mLof cross-linking antibody mouse anti-polyHistidine, rhGP6 will bind toCollagen I (1 μg/mL, 100 μL/well) with an apparent KD < 40 nM. Optimaldilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 50-55kDa, reducing conditions.
Purity: >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution: Reconstituteat 400μg/mL in PBS.
Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethawcycles. 12months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °Cunder sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70 °C understerile conditions after reconstitution.
