|Product Overview:||Recombinant Human HGF( HGF protein isoform 1 (comprising the signal peptide, and alpha and beta chains)) was expressed in HEK293.|
|Form:||When reconstituted in 0.5 ml sterile phosphate-buffered saline, the solution will contain 1% human serum albumin (HSA) and 10% trehalose.|
|Bio-activity:||The ED50 of HGF is typically 20 - 40 ng/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay using the human HepG2 cell line.|
|Molecular Mass:||Under reducing conditions HGF migrates as a broad band between 80 and 110 kDa in SDS-PAGE due to post-translational modifications, in particular glycosylation. This compares with unmodified HGF that has a predicted monomeric molecular mass of 79.7 kDa.|
|Purity:||>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and visualised by Coomassie Brilliant Blue.|
|Storage:||Lyophilised products should be stored at 2 to 8 centigrade. Following reconstitution short-term storage at 4 centigrade is recommended and longer-term storage of aliquots at -18 to -20 centigrade.
Repeated freeze thawing is not recommended.
|Reconstitution:||It is recommended that 0.5 ml of sterile phosphate-buffered saline be added to the vial.|
|Gene Name:||HGF hepatocyte growth factor (hepapoietin A; scatter factor) [ Homo sapiens ]|
