Cat. No. : |
Ebi3-1317M |
Description : |
Epstein-Barr Virus Induced Gene-3 (EBI-3), is a secreted glycoprotein belonging to the hematopoietin receptor family and related to the p40 subunit of IL-12. It was identified by its induced expression in B-lymphocytes in response to Epstein-Barr virus infection. EBI-3 forms heterodimers with p28 to form IL-27 and with p35 to form IL-35. Both IL-27 and IL-35 have anti-inflammatory and regulatory activity. |

Formulation : |
Lyophilized from 10 mM NaCitrate, pH 3.0. |
Purity : |
Greater than 90% as determined by: (1) Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. (2) Analytical HPLC. |
Biological Activity : |
Assay data for mouse recombinant EBI-3 is based upon qualitative binding to anti-EBI-3 antibody. |
Endotoxin : |
Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug. |
Protein Content : |
Determined by: (1) UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. (2) Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard. |
Reconstitution : |
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.5 mg /ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions. |
Stability : |
Lyophilized product is very stable at -20°C. Reconstituted material should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C. It is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage. |
