Cat.No. : CCL16-296H
Product Overview : Purified, full-length human recombinant CCL16 protein (amino acids 24-120, 97 a.a.) with StrepII tag, produced in human cells. Predicted molecular weight: 11.2 kDa. (Accession NP_004581.1; UniProt O15467)
Description : This protein belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. It shows chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes but not neutrophils. Also shows potent myelosuppressive activity, suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. Recombinant SCYA16 shows chemotactic activity for monocytes and THP-1 monocytes, but not for resting lymphocytes and neutrophils. Induces a calcium flux in THP-1 cells that were desensitized by prior expression to RANTES.
