  • Official Full Name
  • proline-rich transmembrane protein 2
  • Background
  • Second messenger systems are intimately involved in the transduction of a primary signal at the cell membrane to its final destination to the nucleus. Many factors are involved in second messenger systems but protein kinase C for activation, and it phosphorylates substrate proteins on serine and threonine residues. It has recently become apparent that protein kinase C exists as several isoforms i.e., PKCalpha, PKCbetaI, PKCbetaII, and PKCgamma. Comparison of the bovine PKC family reveals four conserved regions, C1-C4, and five variable regions V1-V5.

Interacting Protein

PRRT2 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with PRRT2 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of PRRT2.
