Rhox5 / PEM is a putative transcription factor which is developmentally regulated. It is expressed in female mouse embryos only from their paternal X chromosome due to early epigenetic gene regulation. Rhox5 can be used to identify female mouse embryos after just 3.5 days.

RHOX5 has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by RHOX5 itself. We selected most functions RHOX5 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with RHOX5. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
