Protein Function
Alox8 has several biochemical functions, for example, 1,1-dichloro-2-(dihydroxy-4-chlorophenyl)-(4-chlorophenyl)ethene 1,2-dioxygenase activity,1,2-dihydroxy-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene extradiol dioxygenase activity,1,2-dihydroxyfluorene 1,1-alpha-dioxygenase activity.
