CCKAR

Official Full Name
cholecystokinin receptor type A
-
Overview
The Cholecystokinin A receptor is a human protein, also known as CCKAR or CCK1, with CCK1 now being the IUPHAR-recommended name. This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor that binds non-sulfated members of the cholecystokinin (CCK) family of peptide hormones. This receptor is a major physiologic mediator of pancreatic enzyme secretion and smooth muscle contraction of the gallbladder and stomach. In the central and peripheral nervous system this receptor regulates satiety and the release of beta-endorphin and dopamine. -

CCKAR involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways CCKAR participated on our site, such as Calcium signaling pathway, Neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, Insulin secretion, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with CCKAR were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

CCKAR has several biochemical functions, for example, cholecystokinin receptor activity, peptide binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CCKAR itself. We selected most functions CCKAR had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CCKAR. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

CCKAR has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with CCKAR here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of CCKAR.
