CLSPN

Official Full Name claspin
Background The product of this gene is an essential upstream regulator of checkpoint kinase 1 and triggers a checkpoint arrest of the cell cycle in response to replicative stress or DNA damage. The protein is also required for efficient DNA replication during a normal S phase. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]

CLSPN has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding, DNA secondary structure binding, anaphase-promoting complex binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CLSPN itself. We selected most functions CLSPN had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CLSPN. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
