PROKR2

  • Official Full Name

    prokineticin receptor 2
  • Overview

Prokineticins are secreted proteins that can promote angiogenesis and induce strong gastrointestinal smooth muscle contraction. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and G protein-coupled receptor for prokineticins. The encoded protein is similar in sequence to GPR73, another G protein-coupled receptor for prokineticins.

    Protein Function

PROKR2 has several biochemical functions, for example, G-protein coupled receptor activity, neuropeptide Y receptor activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by PROKR2 itself. We selected most functions PROKR2 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with PROKR2. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
