TRIM4

  • Official Full Name

    tripartite motif containing 4

  • Overview

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies. Its function has not been identified. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described.

TRIM4 has several biochemical functions, for example, ligase activity, zinc ion binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TRIM4 itself. We selected most functions TRIM4 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with TRIM4. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

TRIM4 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with TRIM4 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of TRIM4.
