|Official Full Name||cyclin-dependent kinase 19|
|Background||This gene encodes a protein that is one of the components of the Mediator coactivator complex. The Mediator complex is a multiprotein complex required for transcriptional activation by DNA binding transcription factors of genes transcribed by RNA polymerase II. The protein encoded by this gene is similar to cyclin-dependent kinase 8 which can also be a component of the Mediator complex.|

CDK19 has several biochemical functions, for example, ATP binding, cyclin-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity, enzyme binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CDK19 itself. We selected most functions CDK19 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CDK19. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
