HAUS8 is 1 of 8 subunits of the 390-kD human augmin complex, or HAUS complex. The augmin complex was first identified;in Drosophila, and its name comes from the Latin verb augmentare, meaning to increase. The augmin complex is a;microtubule-binding complex involved in microtubule generation within the mitotic spindle and is vital to mitotic;spindle assembly (Goshima et al., 2008 (PubMed 18443220); Uehara et al., 2009 (PubMed 19369198)).

HAUS8 has several biochemical functions, for example, microtubule binding, molecular_function. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by HAUS8 itself. We selected most functions HAUS8 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with HAUS8. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

HAUS8 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with HAUS8 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of HAUS8.
