Background Liver receptor homolog-1 (LRH-1), also known as NR5A2, is a member of the orphan nuclear receptor family. It has been linked to a variety of processes, such as bile acid metabolism, reverse cholesterol transport, cell proliferation in the developing pancreas, and steroidogenesis.
