This gene encodes a member of the homeodomain (HD) family. HD family proteins are helix-turn-helix transcription factors that play key roles in the specification of cell fates. This protein may function during brain development.
OTP has several biochemical functions, for example, sequence-specific DNA binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by OTP itself. We selected most functions OTP had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with OTP. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
