The exact function of the protein encoded by this gene is not known. However, this gene product contains a KRAB domain (which is involved in protein-protein interactions) at the N-terminus, and a transposase domain at the C-terminus, suggesting that it may belong to the family of DNA-mediated transposons in human.
POGK has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by POGK itself. We selected most functions POGK had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with POGK. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

POGK has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with POGK here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of POGK.
