TRNT1

  • Official Full Name

    tRNA nucleotidyl transferase, CCA-adding, 1

  • Overview

The CCA-adding enzyme TRNT1 (EC 2.7.7.25) is an essential enzyme that catalyzes the addition of the CCA terminus to the;3-prime end of tRNA precursors. This reaction is a fundamental prerequisite for mature tRNAs to become aminoacylated;and to participate in protein biosynthesis (Lizano et al., 2007 (PubMed 17204286)).

TRNT1 has several biochemical functions, for example, ATP binding, ATP:3-cytidine-cytidine-tRNA adenylyltransferase activity, CTP:3-cytidine-tRNA cytidylyltransferase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TRNT1 itself. We selected most functions TRNT1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with TRNT1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

TRNT1 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with TRNT1 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of TRNT1.
