|Official Full Name||ankyrin repeat and SOCS box containing 5|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) family of proteins. They contain ankyrin repeat sequence and SOCS box domain. The SOCS box serves to couple suppressor of cytokine signalling (SOCS) proteins and their binding partners with the elongin B and C complex, possibly targeting them for degradation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene but their full length sequences are not known.|

ASB5 has several biochemical functions, for example, . Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by ASB5 itself. We selected most functions ASB5 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with ASB5. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
ASB5 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with ASB5 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of ASB5.
