    There are two types of canine parvovirus called canine minute virus (CPV1) and CPV2. Canine minute virus is a type of virus of the family Parvoviridae that infects dogs. It is most similar to bovine parvovirus in its protein structure and DNA. CCV was discovered in 1971 in Germany during an outbreak in sentry dogs.The virus invades and replicates in the villi of the small intestine.
