CDKL5

  • Official Full Name

    cyclin-dependent kinase-like 5
  • Overview

This gene is a member of Ser/Thr protein kinase family and encodes a phosphorylated protein with protein kinase activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked infantile spasm syndrome (ISSX), also known as X-linked West syndrome, and Rett syndrome (RTT). Alternate transcriptional splice variants have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

    Protein Function

CDKL5 has several biochemical functions, for example, ATP binding,Rac GTPase binding,cyclin-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CDKL5 itself. We selected most functions CDKL5 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CDKL5. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
