Hrh2
-
Official Full Name
histamine receptor H2
-
Overview
Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. Histamine receptor H2 belongs to the family 1 of G protein-coupled receptors. It is an integral membrane protein and stimulates gastric acid secretion. It also regulates gastrointestinal motility and intestinal secretion and is thought to be involved in regulating cell growth and differentiation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. -

Hrh2 has several biochemical functions, for example, NOT dopamine binding, NOT dopamine neurotransmitter receptor activity, coupled via Gs, histamine receptor activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by Hrh2 itself. We selected most functions Hrh2 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with Hrh2. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Hrh2 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with Hrh2 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of Hrh2.
