• Official Full Name
  • ankyrin repeat domain 17
  • Background
  • This gene encodes a protein with ankyrin repeats, which are associated with protein-protein interactions. Studies in mice suggest that this protein is involved in liver development. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Protein Function

ANKRD17 has several biochemical functions, for example, chromatin binding, poly(A) RNA binding, protein binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by ANKRD17 itself. We selected most functions ANKRD17 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with ANKRD17. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
