KLF8 Protein, Kruppel-like factor 8

Home / Products / KLF8

Official Full Name Kruppel-like factor 8
Background This gene encodes a protein which is a member of the Sp/KLF family of transcription factors. Members of this family contain a C-terminal DNA-binding domain with three Kruppel-like zinc fingers. The encoded protein is thought to play an important role in the regulation of epithelial to mesenchymal transition, a process which occurs normally during development but also during metastasis. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 16. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

KLF8 involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways KLF8 participated on our site, such as Signaling events mediated by focal adhesion kinase, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with KLF8 were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

    Pathway Name Pathway Related Protein
Signaling events mediated by focal adhesion kinase ARHGEF28; ARHGAP26; BMX; ACTA1; KLF8

KLF8 has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding, metal ion binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by KLF8 itself. We selected most functions KLF8 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with KLF8. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
