LPAR1
-
Official Full Name
lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1
-
Overview
The integral membrane protein encoded by this gene is a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor from a group known as EDG;receptors. These receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. Utilized by LPA for cell;signaling, EDG receptors mediate diverse biologic functions, including proliferation, platelet aggregation, smooth;muscle contraction, inhibition of neuroblastoma cell differentiation, chemotaxis, and tumor cell invasion. Two;transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene. -

LPAR1 has several biochemical functions, for example, G-protein alpha-subunit binding, G-protein coupled receptor activity, PDZ domain binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by LPAR1 itself. We selected most functions LPAR1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with LPAR1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

LPAR1 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with LPAR1 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of LPAR1.
