PDK1
-
Official Full Name
pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isozyme 1
-
Overview
Phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1 (PDK-1) plays a central role in many signal transduction pathways, activating AKT and the PKC isoenzyme p70S6 kinase and RSK. Through its effects on these kinases, PDK-1 is involved in the regulation of wide variety of process, including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. -
