Recombinant Human Coagulation Factor C Homolog, Cochlin (Limulus Polyphemus)

Cat. No.: COCH-3899H
Product Overview: A DNA sequence encoding the mature form of human COCH (NP_001128530.1) (Glu 25-Gln 550) was expressed, with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
Description: COCH, is a secreted protein which contains one LCCL domain and two VWFA domains. Cochlin / COCH is an abundant inner ear protein expressed as multiple isoforms. Its function is also unknown, but it is suspected to be an extracellular matrix component. Cochlin / COCH and type II collagen are major constituents of the inner ear extracellular matrix, and COCH constitutes 70% of non-collagenous protein in the inner ear and the expression is highly specific.
Source: Human
Host: Human Cells
Form: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Purity: > 92 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Stability: Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70°C.
Predicted N terminal: His
Molecular Mass: The recombinant full length of human COCH consists of 542 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 59.4 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, rhCOCH migrates as three bands with apparent molecular mass of 66, 48 and 18 kDa, corresponding to the alternative splicing isoforms.
Application: SDS-PAGE
Reconstitution: A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information
Storage: Store it under sterile conditions at -70°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
