Description : | The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed. |

Ask a questionIL7 is widely used in the research and development of immunotherapy protocols, can enhance the body's immune function, for the treatment of cancer, infection, autoimmune diseases and other diseases.
IL7 can activate the body's immune system and enhance the immune cells' attack on bladder cancer.
The dosage of IL7 in the treatment of leukemia needs to be calculated individually according to the specific situation of the patient.
It can enhance the function of the body's immune system, and has a certain effect on some infectious diseases.
Recombinant IL7 protein may have some therapeutic effect on specific cancers by activating T cells, but further clinical studies are needed.
This is obtained by recombinant DNA technology, inserting foreign genes into the host expression system, and then through purification and other steps.
