CRHR1
-
Official Full Name
corticotropin releasing hormone receptor 1
-
Overview
This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor that binds neuropeptides of the corticotropin releasing hormone family that are major regulators of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal pathway. The encoded protein is essential for the activation of signal transduction pathways that regulate diverse physiological processes including stress, reproduction, immune response and obesity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, one of which represents a read-through transcript with the neighboring gene MGC57346. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012] -

CRHR1 has several biochemical functions, for example, G-protein alpha-subunit binding, corticotrophin-releasing factor receptor activity, corticotropin-releasing hormone binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by CRHR1 itself. We selected most functions CRHR1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with CRHR1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

CRHR1 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with CRHR1 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of CRHR1.
