Description : |
KIR3DS1(3DS1, CD158e2) is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the killercell Ig-like receptor (KIR) family. KIRs are expressed on CD56 dim NK cellsand T cell subsets where they differentiate normal from abnormal cells, and regulateeffector functions in the innate immune system. KIRs are named for the numberof Ig-like domains (2D or 3D) in the extracellular domain(ECD), and whether theyhave long or short (L, S) cytoplasmic tails. Like other activating KIRs, KIR3DS1has a short cytoplasmic tail and a positively charged amino acid (aa) withinthe transmembrane domain that interacts with the ITAM-bearing signalingadaptor, DAP12. |
Form : |
Lyophilizedfrom a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS. |
N-terminalSequence : |
His22 |
MolecularWeight : |
61.9 kDa (monomer) |
Activity : |
Measuredby its ability to bind MDA-MB-231 human breast adenocarcinoma cells in a flowcytometry assay. A 200-500 fold increase in fluorescence intensity can be observedwhen MDA-MB-231 cells are stained with 3 μg/mL rhKIR3DS1/Fc Chimera and goatanti-human Fc-PE as compared to cells stained with goat anti-human Fc-PE. |
Endotoxin Level : |
<1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
