Active Recombinant Human SRC(1-530) Protein, N-His-tagged

Cat.No. : SRC-231H
Product Overview : N-terminal 6His-tagged, recombinant, human Src, amino acids 1–530, expressed by baculovirus in Sf21 insect cells. Purified using Ni2+/NTA-agarose. The mutant form of Src (Src, 1–530) has been identified in cases of advanced colon cancer. This truncating mutation generates an open active form of Src that has been found to be transforming, tumorigenic and metastasis promoting.

Description : Src family tyrosine kinases are non-receptor tyrosine kinases that are functionally linked to some receptor-type tyrosine kinases, G-protein-coupled receptors, cytokine receptors, and cell adhesion molecules/receptors. Src family tyrosine kinases are membrane-associated proteins having Src homology 2 (SH2) and SH3 domains, which are important for protein-protein interaction. The activity of Src family tyrosine kinases is regulated through intramolecular interaction between the SH2 domain and the phosphorylated tyrosine at the C-terminal regulatory site (Tyr-527).
