Description : |
Fcrlb is a 60kDa protein with sequence homology to classical Fc receptors. There are atleast six type 1 transmembrane FCRL proteins and two that lack transmembranesegments. Each family member contains between three and nine immunoglobulin-likedomains. FCRL proteins are differentially expressed within the B cell lineageand can either promote or inhibit B cell proliferation and activation. Accordingto R&D Systems testing, Fcrlb binds to purifiedmouse IgG. Mouse Fcrlb shares 82% and 94% aa sequence identitywith human and rat Fcrlb, respectively. It contains a putativesignal peptide, three immunoglobulinlik domains, and a mucinlike stalk thatis rich in Pro, Ser, and Thr residues. |
