Description : | Myeloperoxidase is an important enzyme used by granulocytes during phagocytic lysis of foreign particles engulfed. In normal tissues and in a variety of myeloproliferative disorders myeloid cells of both neutrophilic and eosinophilic types, at all stages of maturation, exhibit strong cytoplasmic reactivity for MPO. Erythroid precursors, megakaryocytes, lymphoid cells, mast cells, and plasma cells are nonreactive. MPO is not observed in the neoplastic cells of a wide variety of epithelial tumors and sarcomas. MPO is useful in differentiating between myeloid and lymphoid leukemias. |
Physical Appearance : | Sterile liquid clear solution. |
Formulation : | The protein at 100 µg/ml in 50mM Tris-Acetate, pH 7.5, 1mM EDTA and 20% Glycerol. |
Applications : | ELISA • Inhibition Assays • Western Blotting. |
Stability : | Store vial at -20°C to -80°C. When stored at the recommended temperature, this protein is stable for 12 months. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. |

Enhanced Formation and Disordered Regulation of NETs in Myeloperoxidase-ANCA–Associated Microscopic Polyangiitis
Journal: Journal of the American Society of Nephrology : JASN PubMed ID: 24385592 Data: 2014/5/1
Authors: Daigo Nakazawa, Haruki Shida, Akihiro Ishizu
Article Snippet:Recombinant human MPO (1 μ g/ml or 100 μ g/ml) (Creative BioMart, Shirley, NY) was added to the IgG samples obtained from patients with MPO-ANCA–associated MPA, and then the NET induction assay was performed as described earlier.. For control, mouse antihuman MPO monoclonal antibody (AbD Serotec, Düsseldorf, Germany) was used instead of the IgG samples. For control, mouse antihuman MPO monoclonal antibody (AbD Serotec, Düsseldorf, Germany) was used instead of the IgG samples.
