|Official Full Name||interleukin 9 receptor|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that specifically mediates the biological effects of interleukin 9 (IL9). The functional IL9 receptor complex requires this protein as well as the interleukin 2 receptor, gamma (IL2RG), a common gamma subunit shared by the receptors of many different cytokines. The ligand binding of this receptor leads to the activation of various JAK kinases and STAT proteins, which connect to different biologic responses. This gene is located at the pseudoautosomal regions of X and Y chromosomes. Genetic studies suggested an association of this gene with the development of asthma. Multiple pseudogenes on chromosome 9, 10, 16, and 18 have been described. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.|

IL9R has several biochemical functions, for example, interleukin-9 receptor activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by IL9R itself. We selected most functions IL9R had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with IL9R. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

IL9R has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with IL9R here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of IL9R.
