Description : |
The specifichigh affinity functional IL9R complex consists of a ligand-specific IL9R (α) subunitand the common γ chain that is shared with the receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7and IL-15. Both the IL9R subunit and the common γ chain are members of thehematopoietin receptor superfamily. The cDNAs encoding mouse and human IL-9receptors have been isolated. The deduced mouse and human transmembrane proteins, sharing 53% amino acid sequence identity, contain 468 and 533 amino acid residues, respectively. As a result of alternative splicing, cDNA clones encodingisoforms of IL9R, including a putative soluble form, have also been identified. |
