Description : |
SDC3, also calledN-syndecan, is one of four vertebrate syndecans that are principal carriersof heparan sulfate and chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycans. These type 1transmembrane proteins show conserved cytoplasmic domains and divergentextracellular domains. Human SDC3 is synthesized as a 442 amino acid (aa)core protein with a 44 aa signal sequence, a 343 aa extracellular domain, a21 aa transmembrane region and a 34 aa cytoplasmic tail with a binding sitefor PDZ domains. |
Form : |
Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS. |
N-terminalSequence : |
Gln48 predicted |
Molecular Weight : |
35.5 kDa |
Activity : |
Measuredby the ability of the immobilized protein to inhibit the adhesion of SAOS2human osteosarcoma cells to human Fibronectin. When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to human SDC3 and human Fibronectin (0.5 μg/mL) coated plates, cell adhesion is blocked in a dose dependent manner after 1 hour at 37°C. TheED50 for this effect is typically 2.5-10 μg/mL. |
Endotoxin Level : |
<1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
SDS-PAGE : |
100-150kDa, reducing conditions. |
Purity : |
>85%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain. |
Reconstitution : |
200 μg/ mLin PBS |
Storage : |
Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months fromdate of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. |
