Description : CAS number is 9013-34-7.
MDL number: MFCD00146622
Form : Solid
Usage : Provided as a dry resin.
The following procedure should be carried out in a Buchner funnel:
Suspend dry resin in 5 volumes diH2O and allow to swell and settle for 30-45 minutes. Measure volume of settled resin to determine Column Volume (CV) for washing steps.

For activation/regeneration:
1, Filter suspension and re-suspend resin in 2 CV of 0.1M NaOH/0.5M NaCl for 10 minutes. Pour slurry into Buchner funnel and allow buffer to slowly drain off (~1 V buffer in 5 minutes);
2, Repeat using 0.5M NaCl (without 0.1M NaOH);
3, Repeat using 0.1M HCl/0.5 M NaCl;
4, Repeat using diH2O;
5, Continue washing with diH2O until effluent pH is 5 or greater (~5-10 CV);
6, Suspend the resin in 2 CV of 1M NaCl and adjust pH to 7-8 with NaOH and store at 4°C.

To Use Resin:
1, Filter resin and pass 5 CV of diH2O through resin;
2, Resuspend in 2 CV of 10X buffer of your choice and filter;
3, Remove resin from funnel and re-suspend with 5 CV of 1X buffer and filter. Wash with 1X buffer until pH is within 0.15 pH units of the 1X buffer;
4, Pack resin into column via gravity flow;
5, Apply sample, wash resin, and elute sample.
Storage : Store at 4 centigrade.
