Product Overview: Recombinant Human Trypsin-2 is free from any animal and human sources. Recombinant Human Trypsin-2 expressed in E.Coli having a Mw of 24kDa is purified by standard chromatography techniques. Recombinant Human Trypsin-2 is free from foreign enzymes such as carboxypeptidase A & chymotrypsin. Recombinant Human Trypsin-2 is free from protease inhibitors such as PMSF and EDTA.
Description: This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is secreted by the pancreas and cleaved to its active form in the small intestine. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. This gene and several other trypsinogen genes are localized to the T cell receptor beta locus on chromosome 7.

Unit Definition: One BAEE unit will produce a Delta A253 of 0.001 per minute in a reaction volume of 3.0ml at pH7.6 at 25C (1cm light path). Trypsin digestion: suggested ratio (w:w) 1:20 to 1:1000 (Trypsin : Peptide).
Stability: Recombinant Human Trypsin although stable at room temp for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Human Trypsin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
