Recombinant Human INSR

Cat.No.: INSR-27625TH
Product Overview: Recombinant fragment, corresponding to amino acids 999-1362 of Human Insulin Receptor with N-terminal proprietary tag expressed in a Baculovirus expression system, 67 kDa.
Description: After removal of the precursor signal peptide, the insulin receptor precursor is post-translationally cleaved into two chains (alpha and beta) that are covalently linked. Binding of insulin to the insulin receptor (INSR) stimulates glucose uptake. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Tissue specificity: Found as a hybrid receptor with IGF1R in muscle, heart, kidney, adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, hepatoma, fibroblasts, spleen and placenta (at protein level). Isoform Long and isoform Short are expressed in the peripheral nerve, kidney, liver, striated m
Biological activity: Specific Activity: 43.3 pmol/min/μg.Assay condition: The enzyme reaction was carried out for 1h at room temperature in a buffer containing 50 mM HEPES (pH7.5), 10 mM MgCl2, 1 mM EDTA, 0.01% BRIJ- 35 and 200 uM of ATP. Substrate : 4 uM Tyr peptide 1
Form: Liquid
Storage buffer: Preservative: NoneConstituents: 30% Glycerol, 0.05% Tween 20, 3mM DTT, 25mM Tris HCl, 100mM Sodium chloride, pH 8.0
