Protein Length : | 20-478 a.a. |
Description : | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the pexin family. It is found in serum and tissues and promotes cell adhesion and spreading, inhibits the membrane-damaging effect of the terminal cytolytic complement pathway, and binds to several serpin serine protease inhibitors. It is a secreted protein and exists in either a single chain form or a clipped, two chain form held together by a disulfide bond. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
Molecular Mass : | rhVitronectin is fused with a 6×his tag at N-terminal and the protein has a calculated MW of 53 kDa. DTT- reduced protein migrates as 66-70 kDa in SDS-PAGE resulting from glycosylation. |
Endotoxin : | Less than 1.0 EU per 1 µg of the rhVitronectin by the LAL method. |
Purity : | >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. All lots are greater than 90% pure. |
Notes : | Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Storage : | Store at -20 centigrade in lyophilized state after receipt. For long term storage, upon reconstitution rhTNFa should be aliquot and store at -20 centigrade or -8 centigrade centigrade. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage Buffer : | Bulk protein in a 0.22 µm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4 and delivered as liquid formulation or lyophilized powder. Normally 5-8% trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. |
