Cat. No. : MDK-5077H
Description : MDK and itsfunctionally-related protein Pleiotrophin are heparin-binding neurotrophicfactors that signal through the same receptor, known as anaplastic lymphomakinase (ALK). MDK plays an important regulatory role inepithelial-mesenchymal interactions during fetal development and in postnatallung development. MDK chemoattracts embryonic neurons, neutrophils andmacrophages, and by signaling through the ALK receptor it exerts angiogenic, growth and survival activities during tumorgenesis.
